Tantric practice is a powerful way to explore our creative energy potential and expand beyond usual limits to a new level of consciousness. It is an invitation to gain confidence in opening in sacred love to others, and a greater ability to experience ecstasy in all dimensions of life. This work focuses on deep heart attunement, emotional safety and respect, with more emphasis on intimacy than on sexuality.
Rainbow Tantra groups offer an initiation into the path of Tantra, open to couples and singles. Come with a friend or beloved, or be willing to make new friendships. The content is especially adapted to welcome newcomers with a respect for the individuality of each person. Also people with experience in Tantra will find this a powerful deepening.
The effects of these practices will be helpful to let go of our tensions and to experience peace, silence and the presence of our Being. There will be some time for questions and answers, and for sharing experiences.
No sexual activity happens in the group sessions.
Opening Tantra Puja- Fri January 27th
(7-10 pm, $15 each,Open to Public)
and Sat 28th, Sun 29th (9:30 am-6 pm)
This first retreat is a chance to practice increasing our ability to be present with ourselves and each other, and to open our hearts deeply. We will increase awareness of the Inner Flute, or channel of light that connects all our chakras (energy centers). It's a special occasion to enter deeply into the consciousness of one's energy, body and heart, and to allow intimacy in a safe, non-sexual way.
This work is focused on creating a deeply intimate and sacred atmosphere of love and trust rather than on specific techniques, although these are also included.
This approach is a synthesis of many years of research, meditation and working with many people. It is based on fine and attentive listening to oneself, finding the right distance to the other, and an authentic respect of oneself and the other, becoming familiar of the conscious exploration of our vital energy, and being centered within the presence of the heart.
We will shift into a deeper level of presence through breathing, rebirthing, toning, movement, dance, chakra balancing and silence, allowing the energy to move from the root to the crown, from the earth to the sky. From this space, we will be invited to share moments of aware presence with a partner, using some meditations using breathing and toning to open and share the energy, and then bring us into a deeper communion together.
Cost: $15 for Friday night only
$175 for Friday night through Sunday, (or for Kamaaina residents $140 per person),and $320 (or $250 Kamaaina) for a couple.
9:30 am-6 pm Monday Jan 30th
This second retreat will focus on healing and nurturing our hearts. Most of us have experienced many wounds and pains in our relationships throughout our lives, which tend to collect in our memories and our bodies. These old imprints can get in the way of us being fully present now, and having the deep satisfaction we want in our
Through deeply listening to each other, and using the cradling techniques of Heartbeat Nurturing therapy, we will send loving attention into the deep longings of our being and work with cherishing our inner child. It is some of the deepest healing work we have encountered, and can create amazing shifts and openings quickly.
This is very powerful work that can reprogram our most basic feelings of rejection and pain, to a place of openness and love. There will also be some advanced practices on opening the inner flute, some singing and dancing.
All practices are voluntary, and you may choose to witness and support others by holding space.

Amara Karuna taught Re-evaluation Co-counseling, a method of peer counseling, for over five years, and has been studying and practicing it since 1983. In 1989 she developed her own approach to peer counseling, called Wholistic Peer Support, integrating many ideas from RC with spiritual meditation practices, psychic healing, breathwork and body centered techniques. She has taught hundreds of people to do peer counseling, and currently leads several classes and support groups in Hawaii, including groups for sexual healing, parents and leaders.
She began studying Tantra and Sacred Spot work, a method of sexual healing, on Maui in 2003, and has since studied six different methods of pelvic bodywork. She has been teaching Sacred Nurturing Pelvic Work for men and women, and leading Tantra Pujas, on the Big Island and Maui.
She developed Heartbeat Nurturing Therapy, a method of healing the inner infant self using cradling, hypnotic induction and soft loving words to address emotional issues stemming from lack of breast feeding and loving closeness as an infant.
She recently published a book on the technique. This guide covers everything needed to start to give and receive this intimate therapy, including the basics of trading peer counseling, inner child work, nurturing with the voice and touch, staying centered and clear as a giver, and much more.
